Weißach. The river, a right tributary of
the Bregenzer-Acha (Rhine basin), flows for 33.5 kilometers along the land of Bavaria
(Germany) and the land of Vorarlberg (Austria).
The Weißach, hydronym-composite, consists of
two Weiß- + -ah root components. They implement substrate hydronymic terms found
in the names of water bodies on different territories.
