The Rhône River |
The Rhône. A river flowing for 812 kilometers
through Switzerland and France and flowing into the Gulf of Lyon of the
Mediterranean Sea.
The
hydronym Rhône is a composite name
inherited from the former ethnolanguage states, consisting of the root
components Rhô- + -ne. They implement ancient (substrate)
hydronymic terms.
